Janek Ambros is an award winning director, producer, and writer who received his undergraduate degree in Economics at Siena College. After graduating, Janek started Assembly Line Entertainment obtained his MFA in Film Producing. His diverse slate of short and experimental films which he wrote and directed cover the 2008 Recession, the military industry complex, Dostoevsky adaptations and various other sociological topics have played across the globe and received recognition at many BAFTA and Academy Award® accredited festivals as well as winning many international prizes. His most notable short, “Le Quinze Mai à Paris”, was executive produced by Barbara De Fina, Martin Scorsese’s producer of 4 decades. His first feature film as a director is a documentary about the War on Terror’s impact on civil liberties, executive produced by Academy Award nominee James Cromwell which is an examination of the War on Terror’s impact on civil liberties with interviews from prominent liberals and conservatives. As a producer, his most notable feature is “Ten Thousand Saints” starring Ethan Hawke, Hailee Steinfeld, and Asa Butterfield which premiered at Sundance Film Festival in early 2015. Janek and Assembly Line Entertainment have nearly a dozen feature films wrapping up post production and ready for release in 2016 and 2017. He has several films that are in development as a writer/director that are expected to be shot in late 2016.
