To deal with the tragedy, every year the couple act out the ritual of the traditional summer barbecue, inviting their imaginary daughter for a reunion to see who she could have been and find an answer to why she took her life; only this year the cat’s drowned in the garden pond, Jude keeps failing to clean the house and George won’t light the coals.
