Thomas James Scott was born in 1981 in Belfast, Ireland. Thomas studied the Humanities at Belfast Institute before attending Queens University, Belfast to study Film. In 2009, Thomas commenced a four and a half year study period at Ulster University. In 2010 he was awarded a Master of Arts research degree, and in 2014, he was awarded a PhD in Film. During this period he conducted research at UCLA and USC in California. Thomas also tutored and lectured at Ulster University between 2009 and 2014. He also tutored in Media at Springvale Learning, Corpus Christi and Belfast Met. He has worked in a range of short films, music videos, and TV shows, in a variety of roles from production assistant through to producer. His favourite film directors are Edgar Wright, Tony Scott, and Steven Soderburgh.
I may have been on a coffee and cookies all-nighter, binging on Father Ted, Still Game, and Roddy Doyle when I wrote this. It’s a short film full of rural humour and a daft foundation – hey, maybe it’s the next major Netflix series!
