On a remote Florida highway, an evil lurks in the shadows of an old hotel. Rose Ferguson is traveling with her husband Alex and two friends, to Florida to get away from it all, if only for a brief moment. As a hurricane bears down on them they seek shelter in the only place they can find. Little do they know something waits for them just beyond the palm trees along the road. Something just beyond, The Glade.
I am 36 years old and I am currently a dispatcher for an oilfield company in Fort Worth, TX. The film and television industry has intrigued me since I was a boy and I enjoy everything movies have to offer, from making them myself to the beginning stages of writing the screenplay. Since I started writing in high school, I have pursued many different avenues in writing and screenwriting to me is by far the most enjoyable and rewarding. Filmmaking is an adventure that I love everything about, as it is something truly great to see your works come to life. I have completed seven screenplays and I am currently working on one more. All seven of my completed feature screenplays “Overwatch”, “Retribution”, “The Couch”, “Hell Followed With Him”, “The Cost of Freedom”, “Armies From Below” and “Six Hours to Santa Monica” are currently registered with the Writer’s Guild of America West. My first short script “The Comeback” just recently won Best Drama Short Screenplay at the Austin Revolution Film Festival. My feature script “Hell Followed With Him” just won Best Thriller Screenplay in the Olympus Film Festival. I just completed by second short “Voices of Reason” recently and I am looking forward to seeing how it does at festivals!
Writing, for me, has always been a way to channel thoughts and ideas so what better way to do that than write pieces that have a chance to become movies? The way I write is to try and visualize a scene in my mind and how it should be seen by the viewer. This doesn’t always work so well at first but I’ve found the more you run scenes through your mind the clearer the scene becomes. Once you put it all together I think it’s something really special. I hope everyone that reads my scripts, or maybe one day watches them in theaters, enjoys what they read or see and knows that everything I write is to entertain and done so with you the reader/viewer in mind. Enjoy!
