Buddhist scripture is brought to life in the story of Buddha’s personal attendant and cousin, who while opening the door for women to become monks must choose between his faith and his heart.
Although I was born in the Buddhist country: Thailand, I became interested in Buddhism only recently, when a crisis struck. Having been an atheist for a long time, I fell hard and shook to the reality when facing a simple truth about life: impermanence and sufferings.
I renounced my career to travel to India, Bhutan, Nepal, Myanmar and Thailand in search for Buddhist teachings. Over those years, I have learned so much and wanted to share my knowledge with western audiences.
The fact that I am an east-meets-west person, an American/Asian makes me perfectly qualified to craft this screenplay about Buddhism and Buddha for western audiences.
