LA Festival Short Film: Scarecrow, by Jack Kelly

Tommy is a heavily broken, former war vet, who wears a mask over his face to cover his scars. He is homeless, and wanders the streets of London in search of food, accompanied by a dog.

On his journey Tommy deals with guilt from a mistake in the Iraq war, and learns to be kinder to his dog.

Writer Biography – Jack Kelly

Jack Kelly, a British singer-songwriter who has worked closely with BBC Introducing, decided to study an MA in Writing for Performance and Publication at the University of Leeds to enhance his story writing. He has had a play performed at a London theatre, and has written music for radio, opera and schools. Jack’s writing is influenced on human hardship that came from losing his father at 14 years old. He writes to make a difference to himself and his readers.
